1 cup butter
2 cups white sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cream of tarter
In a large bowl mix first 5 ingredients until creamy. Next mix the 4 remaining ingredients and add to the creamed mixture. Chill dough for 2 hrs if possible, it will be easier to work with. Roll out dough and cut into desired shapes. Bake at 350 for 8-10 min. Do not over bake. Cookies will be soft at first and then harden as they cool.
